7 week online Process Group Training Experience

 

7 Tuesday’s 3/17-4/28
7:30-9 pm

75 minutes process group with a 15 minutes didactic discussion at the end.
Virtual over Zoom

This group is for those wanting to learn more about group process, how to lead groups, understand states of group, and overall gain comfort around process oriented groups.

Facilitated by Molly Stern, MA, MFT and Jill Lewis, MA, LCSW, CGP, AGPA - fellow

A 15-20 minute consultation is required to participate with either Molly or Jill.

Description: 
The sections of this process group experience will demonstrate the basic elements of group functioning, development, here-and-now group process and examine both the dynamics and "how to" of group psychotherapy facilitation. The 7 week structure is set to maximize learning about group formation, and the role of the leaders and participants in the establishment of group roles, boundaries, norms and structure. Psychodynamic concepts including transference, individual and group resistance, and defense mechanisms will be examined as they emerge in the group process. The contribution of the leader to the development of a cohesive and functional group will be examined.
